Welcome To Victoria Gaming Assoication [VGA]

Who is VGA?

Short answer: You.

VGA is a community of gamers from Victoria, BC, Canada and the surrounding areas. Our goal is to make a fun gaming  community for anyone who wishes to join us, this is why our servers are open to public use. We like to use the term  ‘gaming’ in a very general sense because we want to bring games of all sorts into the mix. Our dream is for our community to be available for members to join in on organized events or run their own using our resources. We currently run small  LANs at Mautobu’s place ever so often and online events. On top of the PC (or mac) gaming, we host occasional console tournaments as well as tabletop games such as Dungeons & Dragons, and Magic: The Gathering.

Who Runs it?

Heading VGA are these cool guys:

Nukador (Andrew)
- Is in charge of all finances, with cool spreadsheets (they’re even colour coded!), concession, and other activities. He generally plays RTS, FPS and the occasional RPG.

Mautobu (Justin “Gus” Engwer)
- Manages Source servers, hosts a TF2 server from his personal Virtual Private Server (VPS), and administrates the servers. He can usually be found in the teamspeak server if you need any help or just want to play a couple of rounds of something. Tobu has hosted the majority of our LANs, and works at Boomers Computers.

DarkKnight (Martin)
- Our head newsletter junkie, this silent protector also gives valuable insight and feedback. Martin also helps out by administrating teamspeak, and being an all-around bad ass.
